State Representative Andrew Chesney (R-Freeport), acting as a member of the Illinois Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus, presented a $500 grant to the Eastland High School Trap Team for costs related to their training and competition on Tuesday, November 16.
“The Eastland High School Trap Team would like to thank Representative Chesney and the Illinois Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus for the $500 donation,” said Trap Team Coach Mike York. “The team will put the funds to good use in the upcoming season.”
“I was proud to nominate the Eastland High School Trap Team for this funding,” said Rep. Andrew Chesney. “This great group of students and their coaches deserve the support of, not only our community, but were found to be quite impressive by my colleagues in awarding these funds.”
The Illinois Legislative Sportsmen’s Caucus is an advocate for the state’s outdoor recreational assets. They work to raise and award private funds to local organizations that provide access and resources to the public for various outdoor recreational opportunities.
