Continuing a series of summer outreach visits with local officials, State Representative Andrew Chesney met with local elected officials in Pearl City on July 15.

“It was so gratifying to visit with my friends in Pearl City,” said Rep. Chesney. “Pearl City is in good hands with such responsive and engaged local officials. They had a list of topics they wanted to cover on behalf of our shared constituents and I was eager to hear from them.”

Topics of discussion with Pearl City local officials included a legislative update from Rep. Chesney and questions were fielded by Rep. Chesney about trailer fees, FOID card processing delays, unfunded mandates, redistricting and grant funding priorities for local projects.

“I believe legislators should hear from our local officials and residents on important issues. Making these visits and taking the time to listen while the legislature is on its Summer break is important to me as I work to advocate on behalf of Northwest Illinois in Springfield,” said Chesney.
